Lena Lindström

I tried armwrestling the first time summer 2006. But it wasn't until fall 2007 that I got around to start training. The reason I even tried it in the first place, were of course my boyfriend Johan Lindholm. But note that he never pushed me into training. My reason for that were purely because I loved it! The feeling of adrenalin and raw fysical power you get at table is one of the best kicks you can get, and fits me perfectly! ;)

I truly believe al armwrestlers should train not just at the table, but also with weights. One reason it that it's about the only way to improve you skill properly without wearing your joints out. But also, it helps you're body be able to take al the stress you put it throu at the table. No one can truthfully say armwrestling is a kind sport for the body. And if you wan't to be able to continue to wrestle for more than a few years without injury, you got to make sure you're body is fit for it!
Me and Sarah at Bagarns Minne in Nora, juli 2008.
Right now my training look like this.
Monday: Legs, lower back & shoulders.
Tuesday: Biceps & triceps.
Wednesday: Chest, upper back, & possibly shoulders.
Thursday: Forearms, chins & various specific armwrestling exercises done to build strength and endurance. Sometimes tabletraining.
Friday: Stomach (with weights!) & calfs.
Saturday: Rest.
Sunday: Tabletraining!
In addition to this I take daily walks with our dog, a Cane Corso, preferable in the woods, sprinting uphills.
